Welcome
These Terms & Conditions apply when you enter or participate in any event organised by 4WD Events Australia, including events conducted under the Navrun brand.
By entering an event, you agree to these terms.
Nature of our events
Our events are recreational navigation and adventure activities.
They are not speed events or races. Competitors are expected to obey all Australian road laws, park regulations and directions from event officials at all times.
Eligibility
Drivers must hold a valid driver's licence.
Vehicles must be roadworthy, registered where required, and suitable for the event being entered.
Competitors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate recovery equipment, safety gear and supplies.
Entry fees
Entry is confirmed once any required deposit or payment has been received.
Any outstanding balance must be paid before the event unless otherwise agreed.
Entry fees help cover the significant costs of planning and running events and may not always be refundable.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel:
- Refunds may be available depending on how close to the event your cancellation occurs.
- Deposits may be non-refundable.
- You may be able to transfer your entry to another eligible team if approved by us.
If we cancel an event due to weather, fire, government restrictions or other circumstances outside our control, we will make every reasonable effort to provide an alternative event date, credit or refund as appropriate.
Safety
Your safety is your responsibility.
You participate entirely at your own risk.
You must:
- Follow all instructions from event officials.
- Drive safely and legally.
- Respect public roads, private property and the environment.
- Treat other competitors, volunteers and members of the public respectfully.
We may remove any competitor from an event if their behaviour is unsafe, illegal or unacceptable.
Alcohol and drugs
Drivers must not operate vehicles while affected by alcohol or drugs.
Where an event requires alcohol testing, competitors must comply with event procedures.
Event changes
We may change routes, checkpoints, schedules, scoring systems or activities if required due to weather, safety, land access or other operational reasons.
Media
We may photograph or film competitors during events. These images may be used on our website, social media, promotional material and future event advertising without additional payment.
Competitor content
If you upload photos, videos or other material to our event systems, you confirm that:
- You own the content or have permission to upload it.
- You allow us to use it to promote our events and business.
- You understand it may appear online or in printed material.
Website and online services
We aim to keep our website and online entry systems operating reliably, but we cannot guarantee they will always be available or free from technical issues.
Liability
Adventure activities involve inherent risks.
To the extent permitted by Australian law, you accept these risks and acknowledge that participation is voluntary.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website.
