This is a very unique event, as it caters for first time novelists to the experienced.
This is a 1 vehicle per team event.
The High Country Challenge has it all. Serious navigation without the compromise of taking out the fun of four wheel driving.
15-16 hours of off-road competition with 2 stages. Start is Saturday 8.30am until 4.00pm (1 1/2 hour dinner break, then 5:30pm to 1:00am finish.
All driving will be on forest tracks, open to the public. This is not a race.
The event is focused on all the groups of four wheelers. Competition vehicles, slightly modified, highly modified…. as long as there is reasonable ground clearance, mud terrain tyres and is road registered, then you can enter.
Winches, are not compulsory but helpful in the event you may do some of the optional courses in wet weather. However, the Main Route is based on easy to medium graded four wheel driving. Recovery equipment is compulsory… eg. snatch strap, tree trunk protector… you know the drill. You must be able to recover yourself if the event arises.
No limit to the amount of people you can bring along… as long as it is a legal number you can carry in your vehicle.
The navigation is rated easy to challenging; the four wheel drive standard will be easy to medium with possible challenging Options if wet. We advise you use Mud Terrains for this event, as rain can make it very slippery.
You also get Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast provided. Extra passengers over the age of 16 is $30 to cover catering. U16 are FREE.
Our base camp will be secure. So your valuables will be very safe to leave there. There will always be several officials on site at all times to. Base camp is start, halfway mark and finish for all 2 stages.
Our Naming rights sponsor is Roadsafe 4wd, and they will be supplying our major prizes. We have many more sponsors on board who will be adding to our prize pool.

200-250 kilometers of off road driving is estimated over the 15-16 hours.

Ensure that you have a GPS and know how to read a map.
We will close the entries when we reach the maximum quota. Upon receiving your entry form and payment, we will email detailed particulars, such as how much fuel you will require, exact location, maps, etc.
Trophies are awarded to top 10 teams. Prize Pool awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed teams and possibly down to 10th.
