owned by Rudi Paoletti {right side of pic}(of the very
popular Adventurer
Map series, providing maps, books and mine tours) and Steve
Hobbs {left side of pic}whom is involved with the Cliffhanger.
Rudi Paoletti and Steve Hobbs teamed
up way back in the days of the Yarraman Midnight Pursuit (which
later became the Simex Pursuit)and in 2002 they formed an events
company and we saw the birth of the Navrun series of navigational
events. In 2006 they ran their first Cliffhanger, inspired by
Steve's involvement in 8 Outback Challenges. Between them they
ran 80 Navrun, Nav-Nite, Amazing Race and Cliffhanger events
all told throughout Vic, Tas and NSW before Steve stepped away
from the Navrun scene in 2009 for family and work commitments.
Since then Rudi has flown solo with a further 20 Navrun and
other events but he and Steve remain a steadfast team still
jointly owning and running Cliffhanger 4WD Events. In 2012 Navrun
has it's 10th Birthday and the dynamic duo shall once again
team up to put on a special 10th anniversay event.
The Cliffhanger is a part time job for Rudi and
Steve. One day every week for the entire year they meet and
make arrangements and plans for Cliffhanger. It takes this sort
of commitment to reach the highest possible level of professionalism
and making it the most successful and ejoyable event of its
type in Australia.

Everyone's needs are catered for.
The Amazing Race is ideal for the families in basic cross terrain
vehicles and Navrun weekends are a bit more adventurous mixing
the keen teams with the family teams in daily driver rigs. Alpine
Pursuit is getting more competetive with entry level enduro.
Cliffhanger is serious stuff with dedicated machines battling
the elements for a week in an outback location. Navrun After
Dark is similair to the Navrun event, except it is a day and
night event. The new High Country Challenge is a mix of hard
navigation and challenging but moderate 4wd driving. This event
caters for your first timers, beginners and the experts.
Allan Matthews and Clinton
"Macca" McDonald are also part of the extended
family of Navrun. They contribute in the field work set up,
and in putting togther the competition notes.
Allan has been involved
with 4wd's for over 20 years. He has been working in
the 4wd industry 
for
over 15years. He currently works for Don Kyatt Spares / Terrain
Tamer 4wd products at out Moorabbin (Vic) branch.
He has competed in a number of 4wd events including various
Mudruns, Boho bounce/s, Ramsey/Simex/Piranha Pursuits and Cruiserkhana/s
amongst others over the years. He has also officialled at many
other events including 4wd winch challenges, Navruns, car rallies
and hillclimb/sprints.
His other pursuits include (bush) camping, historical area investigation
and various kayak disciplines including touring, white water
and Marathon.

Clinton......Clinton has been around 4wd's
since he was a kid, after a trip with an Uncle into the High
Country piqued his interest. He has competed in numerous Pajero
Challenges and been a competitor in various Navruns before stepping
up to the challenge of setting up our events. Being in IT for
a job, he took to OziExplorer like a duck to water. Clinton
also gets out on both mountain and motor bikes for fun, having
been involved in MTB racing, and track days on the motorbike.
